Dr Kate McSweeney
Dr Kate McSweeney graduated from the University of Queensland in 2000. She trained in Regional and North Queensland obtaining her fellowship FRACGP in 2005. She has experience across several healthcare settings including large regional hospitals, GP clinics, locums in small Rural towns, Indigenous Communities and Drug and Alcohol Services. She also has extensive experience in Aged and Dementia Care.
Before commencing her medical career, Dr McSweeney was a high school teacher for a number of years and also worked in Mining and Heavy Industries in technical roles. She enjoys working collaboratively with patients and their families to address health needs and concerns, valuing the relationships that are formed in the General Practice setting.
Dr McSweeney and her husband moved to Perth in 2018 for a change of pace and scenery. She enjoys being in nature, walking her dogs, yoga, pilates and cooking.
