For those who are seeking a break from the consult room, our Urgent Care facilities offer the opportunity treat walk-in patients with acute but non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses.

There’s also an option to stick with traditional appointment-based consults, for those wanting exposure to a broader range of patient presentations, some GPs choose to work across both.

We also offer Telehealth and Country Health opportunities.

Working as a St John WA GP

St John Health centres are modern, fully equipped and have excellent nursing support. We also have allied health services available at our centres including X-ray on-site, dental, Urgent Care, pathology, podiatry and physiotherapy.

To work with St John as a GP in Australia, you must have Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). We will provide you with all the relevant forms and information to help you through the process should you need us to.

We will also provide more information on the GP opportunities available within each St John practice, including contract and income information.

Situated in the south-eastern suburbs about 30 mins from the CBD, Armadale is a fast-growing area with the need for more highly qualified GPs keen to build a strong and sustainable patient base among it’s 82 000 residents.

Conveniently located within the town’s largest shopping centre, the medical centre is adjacent to other community facilities including a pharmacy, library and cafes.

Opening its doors in May 2013, the clinic has 12 GP consulting rooms and a large 7 bed treatment room for Urgent Care patients. In addition to modern facilities, GPs are supported by a team of highly experienced nursing staff and practice management. Fixed morning and afternoon sessions run from Monday to Sunday.
